Helen Brauner

Helen has worked in the renewable energy sector for over fifteen years. She joined Lightsource bp in 2021 as Vice President of Business Development to support the company’s aggressive goal of developing 25 GW of solar by 2025. Prior to Lightsource bp, Helen was responsible for origination at 7X Energy, an Austin-based developer that sold a 9 GW portfolio of solar projects to bp in 2021.

Before working in the world of solar development, Helen was a strategy and marketing consultant for cleantech companies with businesses ranging from efficient engines to carbon capture technologies. Helen also spent nine years at Green Mountain Energy, a retail electric provider that sells green power to businesses and residential customers, where she served as Senior VP of Strategic Planning and Marketing.

Helen has served on the boards of CleanTX and the Texas Solar Power Association. She currently volunteers with Impact Austin, a collective giving organization.

Helen has an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas and a BA in Economics from Rice University.
