Jordan Newman has 15 years of project finance experience in the solar and wind energy space.  He has worked both on the lending/investment side as well as on the project developer/sponsor side and has deep expertise in all project finance structures including purchase/sale, construction debt, term debt and tax equity structures such as sale-leaseback, partnership flip, and inverted leases.

Jordan currently serves as a Managing Director for Wells Fargo Bank in the Renewable Energy and Environmental Finance Group where he is responsible for origination, structuring, and closing of tax equity financing for wind and solar projects.  Prior to joining Wells, Jordan held senior project finance positions at a number of developer/sponsor equity firms, including Tioga Energy and Energy Finance Company, managing the pricing, project capital raising, and closing efforts for solar portfolios.  Jordan’s first role in the solar industry was with Sharp Solar from 2004 to 2007, at the time the largest solar module manufacturer in the world.  He was responsible for developing and implementing financial products to support module channel sales.  Jordan began his career with 4 years as a financial analyst at Ernst & Young.  He completed his undergraduate studies at Tufts University and received his MBA with honors from USC’s Marshall School of Business.
