Robert Jansen

Robert leads the asset management and operations function at Vesper Energy where he is responsible for ensuring commercial and regulatory compliance as well as safe and optimal asset performance. Prior to joining Vesper Energy, Robert served as Director of Asset Management at AES Clean Energy (fka sPower) where he oversaw operations of over 150 projects totaling 2.3GW of generating capacity.

Prior to sPower, Robert served as a Senior Analyst, Asset Management with Clearway Energy Group (fka NRG Energy), where he managed half the company’s geographically diverse solar distributed generation portfolio. Robert’s renewable experience includes managing assets in CAISO, ERCOT, PJM, and NYISO.

Prior to starting his tenure in renewable energy in 2014, Robert worked as a business consultant for a boutique consulting firm in the Netherlands.

Robert received an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and earned a B.S. and M.S. in Business Studies from the University of Groningen.
