David Mindham

Senior Director, Regulatory & Market Development EDP Renewables

David Mindham is presently Senior Director, Regulatory & Market Development for EDP Renewables.  In that role, he oversees a team that develops and implements transmission and market strategy in multiple jurisdictions across North America.   He is active in several RTO stakeholder forums, including chair of the MISO Interconnection Process Working Group, a member of the SPP Strategic Planning and Members Committees, and a member of the ERCOT Protocol Revisions Subcommittee.  He serves on the Board of Directors of Americans for a Clean Energy Grid, IEEE-USA, Clean Grid Alliance, and Southern Renewable Energy Association. Before his current role, he has held positions in RTO strategy, FERC strategy, and transmission planning at ITC Holdings Corp.

He has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Tech University, a master’s focused in Management from Harvard University Extension School, a Certificate in Public Relations Strategy from Cornell University, and has taken graduate courses in economics and finance from Johns Hopkins.  He is a Senior Member of IEEE, a registered Professional Engineer in Michigan, and a Project Management Professional.  He lives in Northville, MI with his wife and two sons.
