David is the Procurement Director for Orsted Americas where he is responsible for supplying owner supplied equipment for the Onshore Wind and Solar projects. He is trying to do his part to help Orsted deploy 50GW of renewable energy by 2030.
David started his career as a mechanical engineer in the semiconductor equipment space before getting into net zero energy homebuilding and residential solar in 2009. After nearly ten years in the rooftop KW solar space, David took a job in the MW space as a procurement professional with Orsted. Four years and some GWs later, David is still excited to get up and work everyday despite the supply chain challenges.
David served on the bord of Solar Power Austin for five years and has a MSME from the University of Texas at Austin and BSME from the University of Connecticut.
